Born on May 5, 1955 in the village of Saranist in the Abovyan region (now Kotayq province).
1973 - 1975 - Served in the Soviet Army.
1993 - Graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Ekaterinbourg (RF) Uralian Institute of National Economy. Economist. Candidate in Economics Ph.D.
1975 - 1989 - Head of the distribution division in the Haybyureghapaki Plant (Arzni).
1989 - 2003 - Founder - Director, President of “Saranist” LLC.
Since 2000 - Member of the Councils of the Businessmen and Manufacturers Union, and the Chamber of Commerce and the Industry of the Republic of Armenia.
2003 - 2007 - Member of the National Assembly (electoral district #45). Member of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly.
May 25, 2003 - May 22, 2006 - Member of the “Rule of Law” faction. Then not included in factions or deputy groups. Non partisan.
2007 - 2012 - Member of the National Assembly (electoral district #27).
June 19, 2007 - July 11, 2007 - Member of the Standing Committee on Financial - Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly.
July 11, 2008 - May 31, 2012 - Member of the Standing Committee on Territorial Management and Local Self-Government of the National Assembly. Member of the “Prosperous Armenia” faction. PAP member.
2012 - 2017 - Member of the National Assembly (electoral district #26).
